Workspaces: Your Place to View and Work with Generated Content

When Equip generates content, such as text, images, audio, or video, you can view and edit it within a Workspace. Although the features in the Workspace vary by content type, this article will cover some key points.

Navigating to a Workspace

You can access a Workspace by simply opening a piece of content. On the site navigation on the left, click either Projects or Content Library.

The Projects screen displays all your existing Projects. Click a Project name to open it, then click the content item (such as an image file, a video file, a sermon outline, or a social media post) to open it in the Workspace.

The Content Library screen displays all Generated Content from all Projects, along with all Source Content (imported or uploaded content). Click on a piece of content to open it in the Workspace.

Common Workspace Actions

Workspace Actions differ based on the content you've opened, but each Workspace will have three base Actions at the top of the screen: share, export, and comment.

Share

Clicking the Share button provides two options: Copy Share Link and Revoke All Share Links. Copy Share Link copies a URL to your clipboard, which is handy if you want someone to review your sermon outline, for example. You can then paste this link into an email and send it to the person you want to share it with. They don’t need to be an Equip user. They will be able to view the content in read-only mode and cannot make changes.

Revoke All Share Links will invalidate any Share Links you have sent to others. The content will no longer be accessible through those previous links.

Export

Export options differ by content type, but usually, you can download the content to your computer. Text can be saved as Word documents, audio files as MP3s, and presentation slides as PowerPoint files.

Comments

Comments let you add notes to content, which is especially helpful when several people review the same content. Everyone with access to the content will see all comments.

Example Workspaces

Workspaces are customized based on the type of content you're viewing. The examples below aim to give you a sense of the features available in various workspaces.

Text Workspace (Sermon Outline)

Text Editor

Text content, like a Sermon Outline, will open in a workspace designed for writing. The text editor panel resembles a word processor, such as Microsoft Word. It includes a toolbar for adjusting the document's style and layout, followed by a text editing area.

When you highlight a section of text with your mouse, a toolbar will appear with a stars icon and a discussion icon.

Clicking the stars icon shows a list of Actions that Equip can perform on the highlighted text. For sermon outlines, these actions include "Expand this point," "Add illustration," "Find supporting scripture," and several others.

Clicking the discussion icon opens an Ask About This Selection window, where you can either type a question for Equip about the highlighted text or choose from one of the suggested prompts.

AI Assistant Sidebar

The AI Assistant Sidebar is your toolkit for further research and expanding the sermon outline. It has three main categories of tools: Bible, Resources, and Chat

Bible

The Bible tab provides quick access to multiple translations and Bible study tools. You can highlight a passage to open a toolbar that allows you to copy the passage, insert it into your outline document, choose a Bible study tool, or ask Equip about the passage.

Resources

The Resources tab contains many AI resources to assist with research and sermon planning. To use the Resources tab effectively, start by choosing an option from the Category menu. This will then update the list of Tools available within that category. Each tool has specific inputs you need to fill out, which Equip will use to generate resources.

Chat

The Chat tab allows you to either ask a question about your sermon or choose from a variety of suggested prompts.

Pro Tip: The text workspace offers many more tools than can be summarized in an article. We recommend exploring different options, especially on the sidebar, to see everything the text workspace provides.

Slides Presentation Workspace

The Slide Presentation Workspace adds two buttons to the top bar, to the left of the Share button: Present and Generate All Backgrounds.

Clicking the Present button hides everything in the browser window except the slide. This lets you display the presentation directly on the Equip site without needing to export it to PowerPoint first. Clicking Generate All Backgrounds creates a background image for any slide that doesn't already have one.

Slide Presentation Editor

On the left side of the Slide Presentation Editor, a thumbnail preview of all slides in the presentation is shown. Click any thumbnail to select and view the slide you want to edit.

Below the slide preview section, you'll find three tabs: Text, Speaker Notes, and Media.

Text

The Text area is where you'll edit the slide's text. The first field lets you select the slide Type. Depending on the Type you choose, different sections will be available for editing. Some of these sections include Headline, Subtitle, Body, Scripture Text, and Scripture Reference. When you edit text in a section, the slide will automatically update to reflect the change.

Speaker Notes

The Speaker Notes can be the exact words the speaker will say when this slide appears, or they can be notes or prompts for the speaker. This is entirely up to the user.

Media

The Media section includes the Slide Background image, an Image Prompt, and a Voiceover area. Hover your mouse over the Slide Background to see options to either download the image to your computer or delete it. The Image Prompt field contains a description of the background image. If you want Equip to create a new image, modify the description, and click the Regenerate Image button. Finally, the Voiceover section has a Generate Narration button. Clicking this button will convert the Speaker Notes into a realistic-sounding voiceover.

Video Editing Workspace (Short Form Video)

The Sort Form Video tool processes a longer video, like a sermon, and suggests several shorter clips. The left side of the workspace features a video player, while the right sidebar is where you adjust settings to finalize the output.

The sidebar has two main sections: Source Video and Clips.

Source Video

If you want more clips beyond what Equip generated, go to the Source Video section to add more clips to the workspace. To add a clip:

  1. Choose the Aspect Ratio to be used for the end result.
  2. Select the starting point for the clip.
  3. Set the Clip Duration.
  4. Click the Add Clip button

The new clip will be added to the Clips section.

Clips

The Clips section will show all generated clips, along with any clips you've manually added in the Source Video section.

Click a clip's name to customize its design and captions. You will see the Design and Captions tabs.

The Design tab allows you to customize the style and position of captions and select the video background style. The Captions tab enables you to edit captions. When you finish editing the clips, click the Render button.

Once a clip finishes rendering, you can download it by clicking the download icon. equip-workspace-video_editing_download.png

Audio Production Workspace (AI Audio)

The AI Audio tool converts text into narration, with optional background music. The top of the workspace features an audio player where you can either listen to the generated audio or download it by clicking the download icon. equip-workspace-audio_editing-download.png

Below the audio player, you'll see three tabs that let you further customize the audio output.

Script

The Script tab allows you to choose whether all lines are read by one voice or specify which lines are read by a second voice.

Voice

The Voice tab lets you pick the narrator's voice. If you select two narrators, you can assign a different voice to each one.

Music

The Music tab lets you customize the style of music that plays with the narration.

If you've made any changes to the script, voice, or music, click the Regenerate button to apply them and generate a new audio file.
