A Workspace is where you view, edit, and refine AI-generated content—whether it's sermon outlines, presentations, videos, or audio. Each workspace is customized for its content type, with different tools and editing options available. This article covers the common features and workspace-specific tools you'll use.
Navigating to a Workspace
Open a piece of content to access a Workspace. On the site navigation on the left, click either Projects or Content Library.
Click a Project name, then click the content item (sermon outline, video, image, etc.) to open it in the Workspace.
The Content Library screen displays all Generated Content from all Projects, along with all Source Content (imported or uploaded content). Click on a piece of content to open it in the Workspace.
Common Workspace Actions
Workspace Actions differ based on the content you've opened, but each Workspace will have three base Actions at the top of the screen: share, export, and comment.
Share
Clicking the Share button provides two options: Copy Share Link and Revoke All Share Links. Copy Share Link copies a URL to your clipboard, which is handy if you want someone to review your sermon outline, for example. You can then paste this link into an email and send it to the person you want to share it with. They don’t need to be an Equip user. They will be able to view the content in read-only mode and cannot make changes.
Revoke All Share Links will invalidate any Share Links you have sent to others. The content will no longer be accessible through those previous links.
Export
Export options vary by content type, but you can usually download the content to your computer. Text can be saved as PDFs, Word documents, plain text, HTML, or Markdown.
Comments
Comments let you add notes to content, which is especially helpful when several people review the same content. Everyone with access to the content will see all comments.
Example Workspaces
Below are four common workspaces and their key features.
Text Workspace (Sermon Outline)
Text Editor
Text content, like a Sermon Outline, will open in a workspace designed for writing. The text editor panel resembles a word processor, such as Microsoft Word. It includes a toolbar for adjusting the document's style and layout, followed by a text editing area.
The text editor also offers AI-powered shortcuts to quickly enhance your content. Highlight text to reveal a toolbar with a stars icon and a discussion icon.
Clicking the stars icon shows a list of Actions that Equip can perform on the highlighted text. For sermon outlines, these actions include "Expand this point," "Add illustration," "Find supporting scripture," and several others.
Clicking the discussion icon opens an Ask About This Selection window, where you can either type a question for Equip about the highlighted text or choose from one of the suggested prompts.
AI Assistant Sidebar
The AI Assistant Sidebar is your toolkit for further research and expanding the sermon outline. It has three main tool categories: Bible, Resources, and Chat.
Bible
The Bible tab provides quick access to multiple translations and Bible study tools. You can highlight a passage to open a toolbar that lets you copy it, insert it into your outline document, choose a Bible study tool, or ask Equip about it.
Resources
The Resources tab contains many AI resources to assist with research and sermon planning. To use the Resources tab effectively, start by choosing an option from the Category menu. This will then update the list of Tools available within that category. Each tool has specific inputs you need to fill out, which Equip will use to generate resources.
Chat
The Chat tab allows you to either ask a question about your sermon or choose from a variety of suggested prompts.
Pro Tip: The text workspace offers many more tools than can be summarized in an article. We recommend exploring the sidebar to see everything the text workspace offers.
Video Editing Workspace (Short Form Video)
The Short Form Video tool processes a longer video, like a sermon, and suggests several shorter clips. The left side of the workspace features a video player, while the right sidebar lists the suggested video clips.
If you want more clips beyond what Equip suggested:
- Click the New Clip button in the right sidebar.
- Choose an Aspect Ratio for your clip.
- Use the Clip Editor handles to set the starting and ending points.
- Click the Save Clip button.
The new clip will be added to the Clips section.
Clips
The Clips section shows all suggested and manually added clips.
Click a clip's name to customize its design and captions. You will see the Design, Editor, and Captions tabs.
The Design tab allows you to customize the style and position of captions and select the video background style. The Editor tab lets you adjust the clip's start and end points. The Captions tab enables you to edit captions.
Important: Clips cannot be downloaded until they have been rendered.
Click either the Render All button to render all clips listed, or render individual clips by clicking the Render button next to a clip.
Once a clip finishes rendering, you can download it by clicking the download icon.
Audio Production Workspace (AI Audio)
The AI Audio tool converts text into narration, with optional background music. The top of the workspace features an audio player where you can either listen to the generated audio or download it by clicking the download icon.
Below the audio player, you'll see three tabs that let you further customize the audio output.
Script
The Script tab allows you to choose whether all lines are read by one voice or specify which lines are read by a second voice.
Voice
The Voice tab lets you pick the narrator's voice. If you select two narrators, you can assign a different voice to each one.
Music
The Music tab lets you customize the music that plays alongside the narration.
If you've made any changes to the script, voice, or music, click the Regenerate button to apply them and generate a new audio file.
